How We Started
Training Diet Mastery was born from frustration. Our founder, a competitive runner in Durban, realized that quality nutrition coaching was gatekept behind expensive consultants and premium programs—far out of reach for most athletes. Local gyms were pushing overpriced shakes and powders, while athletes had no reliable way to learn nutrition basics.
The turning point came after connecting with dozens of runners, cyclists, and gym-goers who shared the same problem: they wanted to eat smarter, but simple guidance was hard to find. That's when the idea crystallized—create a resource hub for budget-conscious athletes across South Africa who refuse to compromise on performance.
From that conversation, Training Diet Mastery began as an editorial platform dedicated to breaking down nutrition science, sharing real-world meal plans, and answering the questions athletes actually ask.
